Tips and tricks for cooking shrimp in the air fryer
The “Shrimp” program in the HAG-8080 air fryer: 180 °C, 15–20 minutes. Tips on marinade, timing, a crispy coating and serving.
“Shrimp” program
- 180 °C, 15–20 minutes.
Marinade — keep it short
- 10–15 minutes of marinating is enough for shrimp (olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, paprika, chili).
- Don't leave them too long — the meat will turn rubbery.
Temperature and time
- Ideal: 180 °C, 7–10 minutes. Overcooked shrimp lose their juiciness.
For extra crunch
- Lightly dust them with breadcrumbs or cornstarch for a golden crust.
Leave the tails on
- Shrimp look more impressive that way and are easier to eat.
Don't overload the basket
- The shrimp should lie in a single layer, otherwise they'll stew instead of roasting.
Finishing touch and serving
- After cooking, drizzle with lemon juice and add fresh herbs (cilantro, parsley, dill).
- Serve with sauces: garlic, creamy, sweet chili or teriyaki.
